The Watchtower

Watchtower Meetings

Italian Version

Welcome!

The Watchtower on the Contemporary Novel aims to be a meeteng place for who's interested in improving his or her knowledge of the novel, one of most important modern literary genre. The Watchtower project is born within the Trento University and its Graduate School in Literary, Linguistic and Philologic Studies, but it doesn't address only academic scholars and university researchers: we hope that our project could be useful also for geeks, for occasional readers, for every person who likes reading.

The Watchtower organises meetings in which a high qualified host gives a lecture on a contemporary novel. This lecture could be found in the "file" section of the site. The lecture file contains also a short presentation of the novel's author and further readings box, with a selected bibliography and links to internet pages and multimedia documents (where available). In the "reviews" section, you'll find some recently published books we'd like to point out. The links point to other sites, be them academic ones or not, on the novel and/or literature. Keep an eye on the highlights below: there are conferences, site updates, a choice of call for papers on the novel and all the interesting things we find.
